Woody Guthrie Center Sixth Anniversary Celebration

Mark your calendars as we celebrate six years of Woody Guthrie’s work returning to Oklahoma.

The annual week of programs at the Center and with our community partners will take place April 23-28 with free music at Guthrie Green with a range of artists who carry on Woody’s message of diversity, equality and social justice.

Member event at Welltown Brewery (trivia and music)

Wednesday, April 24
WGC Theater – “Woody Guthrie: Three Chords and the Truth” BBC film screening and discussion/reception with filmmaker Todd Austin

Thursday, April 25
Gilcrease Museum – 6:00 PM – Lance Canales program and panel discussion in conjunction with Gilcrease exhibit “Americans All”

Duet Jazz Club – 8:30 PM – David Amram, Judy Blazer, and Will Kaufman – Leonard Bernstein and Woody discussion
9:30 PM – David Amram Jazz Combo
